Set amidst the backdrop of the iconic Manchester skyline. Treading water tells the story of Danny as he is released from prison into the tough reality of supported housing and tries to take control of his life whilst dealing with the mental health issues that have shaped him. How a chance encounter with a past love becomes an obsession that leads to tragic consequences. How all choices are limited to what is in front of you, even when that means no choice at all. And how we are all ultimately just trying to get by each day, even if sometimes it feels like we are only treading water.
