Ukrainian folklore is a cultural heritage that we must not only remember, but also carry through the ages. Myths, legends, rituals and characters - Mavka, Witch, Molfar, Forester - are an important part of our identity. Ukrainian writers, such as Lesya Ukrainka ("Forest Song") and Hryhoriy Kvitka-Osnovyanenko ("Konotop Witch"), breathed life into these images of their time. We continue this mission, returning folklore to a modern context through costumes, thematic images and rituals.”
