Description
Kristen Stewart's directorial debut. Supported by Chanel. Premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in the "Un Certain Regard" program. The story is based on real events from the life of a promising Olympic swimmer who runs away from home to escape her abusive father and a childhood full of violence. Thanks to a scholarship, she ends up in Texas, where she is supposed to compete. Instead, she finds herself in a whirlpool of sexual experiments, toxic relationships, and addiction. She loses everything, but through writing she finds her voice and overcomes her troubled past.
