The screening of the restored version of the film "The Color of Pomegranate" is timed to the 100th anniversary of the birth of director Serhii Paradzhanov. This is the second time in history that UNESCO has declared the year of Serhiy Paradzhanov – the first time it happened in 2004. The film was restored by the Martin Scorsese Film Fund together with the Cineteca di Bologna. For this work, Martin Scorsese won the 2014 Parajanov-Vartanov Institute Award. The life of the Armenian poet Sayat-Nov, from childhood to death: spiritual path, artistic development and internal conflicts made him the main lyricist.
