Description
A screen adaptation of the novel by the cult British writer and journalist Robert Harris. After the death of the Pope, Cardinal Lawrence urgently needs to organize a Conclave, at which Catholic cardinals from around the world must elect a new head of the Church. During the organization and conduct of the Conclave, Lawrence will have to deal with the intrigues of the Vatican and prevent the secrets of the Church from leaking to the press. Step by step, the cardinal learns the shocking secrets of the deceased Pope. Some of them are capable of destroying the careers and reputations of the candidates for the position of God's Vicar on Earth.
