In gloomy Detroit, the eternal vampire Adam lives – a musician, recluse and melancholic who cannot stand the modern world. His beloved Eve – equally immortal, but full of lust for life, lives in Tangier and comes to pull Adam out of depression. They don’t kill people, they just drink donor blood… But the situation gets out of control when Eve’s unpredictable younger sister appears.

Jarmusch shows vampires as no one has ever shown them before – with guitar riffs, night streets and the painful romanticism of Shakespeare’s eternal poetry.
