A humpback whale is washed ashore. The story is told simultaneously from the perspective of a young girl and the whale itself. “Guardians of the Planets” is a visual odyssey into the world of the oceans, where the majesty, intelligence and deep tenderness of the largest mammals on the planet are revealed in all their glory.
The film combines stunning underwater footage with commentary from leading biologists and ecologists, revealing the incredible social complexity of whales and the vital role they play in the health of the oceans. Inspired by the poetic book “Whale Nation” by Heathcote Williams, this film is not just a documentary, but a meditation and a call to action.
The film is suitable for family viewing.
