In the play SERENDIPITY, a single white painting, purchased for an exorbitant sum, disrupts the balance between three friends and brings hidden conflicts to the surface. The white canvas transforms into a battlefield of perspectives and meanings, sparking a wave of questions.

What is true art? How should we judge it — with the mind, the heart, or intuition? Not every painting, sculpture, film, or musical qualifies as art. And not every performance…

Art exists where genuine experience arises: emotional, intellectual, spiritual.

It is what changes us: makes us think, doubt, laugh, or cry.

But can friendship be considered art?

For the people around us also have the power to move, inspire, and sometimes touch the soul deeply. True friendship, like a true masterpiece, does not age — with time, it gains even greater value. Friends shift our worldview, helping us see ourselves and life from a new perspective. Even a simple phone call with a friend can become one of life’s most profound catharses.

Friendship can sometimes prove more complex than the contemporary art market, while art can become the only form of truth that requires no apology for your sincerity.

About the light and dark corners of friendship, the beauty and absurdity of art, about what we see and what we fear to see.

Serendipity — the ability to stumble upon something valuable or fortunate, especially when seeking something else. Sometimes, it is chance that curates our lives, creating an exhibition of the most honest and vulnerable human portraits.

Inspired by Yasmina Reza’s play Art, but not a production of that play.
