After a long absence, the renowned pianist Charlotte Andergast, during a break between her concerts, comes to stay with her daughter Eva. Everyone is filled with sincere joy ahead of the meeting, which both mother and daughter await with a mix of anticipation and… fear. Behind the cheerful happiness of reunion lie deep pain and long-held resentments that both women must overcome.
