Description
The film is based on a real story that took place in Northern Ireland during World War II in 1941. Young Tom and his friends are trying hard to save the animals from the local Belfast Zoo - he was hit by German bombers. The Zoo is a touching story of Baxter's friendship and rescue. The shooting took place in a real Belfast Zoo.

The main roles in Colin McIvor's film were played by British movie stars Art Parkinson, who played Ricon Stark in "Game of Thrones", Penelope Wilton from "Downton Abbey" and Toby Jones ("Spy, get out!", "The Hunger Games").
